As a South Florida-born and bred son of working-class immigrant parents, George Navarini has lived a life centered on service to the community, state, and nation.

From two-time national president of the International Association of Emergency Managers, holding local to national level command and staff leadership positions with both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliaries, and archdiocesan leader with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, assisting the less fortunate of our community.
George is a consummate team builder who eagerly tackles the most ambitious of projects. In both fair weather and during national emergencies, George Navarini is an experienced and proven leader who thrives on challenges and is willing to put in the time and effort to get things done.

Having deployed both across the state and internationally in both training and disaster responses, George is a well-respected multilingual lecturer and instructor in emergency management and homeland security topics. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Florida International University and previously in multiple assignments for the U.S. Departments of State, Defense, and Homeland Security as a contract instructor, assisting communities and countries to become more resilient to disasters.

EDUCATION
George is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University (B.A. - American History) and American Military University (M.A. - Emergency Disaster Management).
He has also earned a Master’s Certificate in Terrorism Studies from AMU and a Master’s Diploma in Diplomatic Practices, granted by the United Nations Institute of Training and Research in conjunction with the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
Additionally, George was the first in the nation to complete the entire FEMA Emergency Management Professional Education Program, graduating from the National Emergency Management Basic, Advanced, and Executive Academies, and has subsequently served as an instructor in these academies.
